BIO
João Barcellos is an associate and member of the firm’s Tax department. João has extensive experience in strategic litigation before State Courts, Federal Regional Courts, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Federal Supreme Court. His work includes analysis of tax violation notices and defense of taxpayers in federal, state and municipal administrative litigation. He is also responsible for providing tax planning consultancy to companies in the industrial, commercial, transportation and service sectors, with special focus on procedures for differentiated tax regimes and renewal of tax incentives.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in law from FGV – with honors (Magna Cum Laude).
- Specialization in Tax Law from IBET.
- Specialization in Public and Private Law from the Judge’s School of the State of (EMERJ) (interrupted).
