BIO
Lucia Lea is a partner in the firm’s Infrastructure and Regulatory Department. Lucia was General Counsel for the State of Rio de Janeiro (PGE-RJ) for 10 years (2007-2016) and was a member of the PGE-RJ staff as State Attorney for 37 years. As General Counsel, Lucia actively defended the interests of the State of Rio de Janeiro, particularly the discussion on the constitutional model for sharing Brazilian oil royalties. She was the first woman to chair the Association of State Attorneys of Rio de Janeiro (APERJ) (2000-2006) and the only one, to date, to hold the position of General Counsel for the State. Lucia also chaired the National College of States and Federal District Attorneys (CONPEG) (2011-2015). She was a lawyer for the Gerdau Group and the Brascan Group, Coordinator of FINEP, and also served as Secretary of Administration for the State of Rio de Janeiro.
